He married MARIE JOSEPH GOUIGNARD DIT ST. ETIENNE January 12, 1749/50 in Detroit , Michigan, Wayne county, daughter of PETER ST. ETIENNE and MARY LEBEUF. She was born June 17, 1730 in Montreal, Quebec, and died February 10, 1792 in Sandwich, Ontario.

OHN LOUIS REVAU DIT LAJEUNESSE:
John Louis Lajeunesse came from a small town called Vif in the Alpine region of France, nearby the larger town of Grenoble, France. He was the son of Claude Reveau of the Parish of Saint Jean and had come to the new world to serve in the garrison of Fort Ponchatrain at Detroit which had been established in 1701 by Antoine de Lamothe Cadillac.
