Minney Family Researchers Of the USA

Updated August 29, 2003

About Our Family Research

I am researching the Minney families of the USA. My father was a Minney and I have always been fascinated by the name. I have always been told that there 2 brothers who came to America from France and noone was left with that particular surname in France. One of them was supposed to have been my ancestor, and the other one was purported to have gone to Pennsylvania. I would like anyone researching this particular name to contact me and share information with me. I would also like to start a photo album of Minney's from the different families. My famiy line is traceable to John F. Minney from New Orleans, LA, to Cooper County, Missouri, and his family on to Arkansas first in Washington County and then to Johnson County. Later on some of them moved on to Oklahoma and onward from there.I have an extensive database of Minney's in America. I would like to encourage everyone to participate on the Minney Family One Name History Study.
