Thomas, 1847-1913,and Mary Ann Kear,1849-1929, hailed from the Forest of Dean in Gloucestershire. They were the great grandparents of family genealogy researchers Joanna Howard from Bowen Island, Bristish Columbia and Jonathan Morse of Bristol, UK.
Thomas was the son of Thomas Morse and Ann Hughes and married Mary Ann, the daughter of William Kear and Phoebe Morse on the 3rd July 1869, in Bream.

The Canadian Connection - George Harold Morse (1912-1982) The following is an account of George’s passing taken from a West Vancouver newspaper in March 1982: George Harold Morse, aged 69, a resident of West Vancouver for 44 years, died March 10 in Lion’s Gate Hospital. Mr Morse was born in Vancouver and attended schools there. He worked for the Vancouver Sun for a number of years, and represented the Whitman-Golden Publishing Company in the province of B.C for 36 years, and was well known in the business community of Vancouver. He was a member of Prospect Lodge, West Vancouver, and for 35 years a member of the West Vancouver Lions Club. He was chairman of the Lions Civic Improvement Committee which initiated Lawson Park in West Vancouver, past chairman of the North Shore Lions Youth Exchange, a multicultural committee which brought students from Japan to the North Shore and sent North Shore students to Japan. He was also chairman of the West Vancouver Lions Club Scholarship committee. Mr Morse is deeply mourned by his wife Edna, West Vancouver, son Alan and daughter-in-law Alison of West Vancouver, daughter Joanna of North Vancouver, and Elizabeth of California, and six grandchildren.
