Ancestors of Martha Jo (Martha) Cross

Generation No. 70

966200093620112982034. Tiberius Claudius Caesar Of Rome, died Unknown in Rome, Italy. He was the son of 1932400187240225964068. Augustus Caesar Of Rome and 1932400187240225964069. Livia Of Rome.

Notes for Tiberius Claudius Caesar Of Rome:
Tiberius was the Emperor of Rome from 14- 37 AD.
The Roman Caesar referred to in the Bible as Caesar in Jesus statement "Render unto Caesar what is Caesar's, and to God what is God's" was Tiberius Claudius Caesar. The Demarius of Tiberius is probably the coin brought to Jesus by his disciples. It is known as a "tribute Penny" by collectors today. It bears a likeness of Livia, mother of Tiberius.
Tiberius was not as well liked as his father Augustus of Julius Caesar. In fact, he has a rather sinister reputation in history as a suspicious man always afraid of plots against his life by senators or popular rivals.
Later in his reign, Tiberius moved to the Isle of Capri, out of touch with Rome but still remained Emperor. His government was run by Praetorian Prefect Sejanus. Sejanus plotted against Tiberius in an effort to overthrow him an become emperor himself. He was tried and convicted for treason, and was executed along with other members of his family.
Because of his paranoia Tiberius had many powerful people tried and convicted for treason.

Child of Tiberius Claudius Caesar Of Rome is:
483100046810056491017 i.   Venissa Julia Of Brittain, died Unknown; married Arvarigus Of Britain.
