- The 1901 Census Return (54 KB)
This return was filled in by our great grandfather William Flannery on Sunday, the 31st of March,1901. It lists himself and his twelve children who ranged in age from 19 to 3 months. They were Elena, Andrew, William, Mary Anne, Patrick, John Martin, Nora, Margaret, Catherine,Josephine, Philip and James. Also listed was Mary Lenihan, aged twenty, who entered as a domestic servant. William puts his occupation as Farmer and could speak both English and Irish

Compiled in 1851 it details the 2 properties in the Townlands of Ballyguy which were leased by Sir Richard Bourke to John Flannery and his son John Flannery, Junior. The description of both properties are "Houses, offices and land". The father had an area of A/7 R/1 P/6 with an net value of 9 pounds, 10 shillings and 0 pence. The area leased by John Junior was A/11 R/1 and P/38 with a Net Annual Value of £11/5/0. The Flannery family were later evicted from this land.
