2. MICHAEL2 MUSSER (PAUL1 MOSER) was born April 11, 1739, and died June 05, 1814. He married (1) ELIZABETH//. He married (2) MARIA BARBARA ? 1762.

ICHAEL MUSSER:
Michael changed his name to MUSSER when he moved to Lancaster, Pa.

Michael, as were his brothers George and John Adam, was a tanner. He lived in the house which today is 323 West King Street, and is well preserved. In his will he directed that it be sold.

The Pennsylvania Gazette newspaper, dated November 1, 1775:

Lancaster Borough, October 16, 1775.
SIX DOLLARS Reward,
RUN away from the subscriber, an English apprentice lad, named George LITTLE, about 17 years of age, about 5 feet 5 or 6 inches high, had on, and took with him, a brown broadcloth coat, a brown plush jacket, a check shirt, white cotton ribbed breeches, white ribbed thread stockings, a small wool hat; he has sandy hair; it is supposed he went towards Burlington. Whoever takes up and secures the said apprentice, so that I may get him again, shall have the above reward, and reasonable charges, paid by MICHAEL MUSSER, Tanner.

The Pennsylvania Gazette newspaper, dated April 2, 1777:

TWENTY DOLLARS Reward
RAN AWAY from Michael MASSER (sic), living in the Borough of Lancaster, on the 23rd of March last, an Irish servant LAD, named Thomas READ, he is about 19 years of age, and a Tanner by trade; had on, when he went away, a half worn cocked beaver hat, an ash coloured lincey coat, a brown broadcloth jacket, a pair of cotton velvet breeches, a pair of blue stockings, and old shoes. At the same time ran away from George MOSSER (sic), of the Borough aforesaid, an Irish servant LAD, named Robert McGINNEY, he is about 18 years of age, a Tanner by trade; he had on a half worn round beaver hat, a yellowish saggathy coat, and light coloured lincey jacket and breeches; one of his fingers is crooked and much shorter than the rest. It is supposed they went together, as they have done before, and they will be apt to change their names. Whoever takes up said servants, and brings them to their masters, or secures them, so that they may have them again, shall receive the above reward for both, or Ten dollars for each of them, and reasonable charges, paid by

3. GEORGE2 MUSSER (PAUL1 MOSER) was born March 27, 1741 in Berks County, Pennsylvania6, and died August 17, 1806 in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. He married CHRISTIANA CATHARINE YOUNG(JUNG) July 16, 1765 in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, daughter of MATTHIAS YOUNG. She was born September 11, 1748, and died March 31, 1828.

EORGE MUSSER:
George changed the spelling of his last name to MUSSER when he moved to Lancaster, Pa.

He was a Captain in the Revolutionary War, 1st. Lancaster County Batallion PA Militia, under Colonel Ross whose company went to New Jersey in August, 1776, and stayed until February, 1777. (source) "Pennsylvania, War of The Revolution" referenced in book by Edgar Musser.

He was a warden, elder and trustee of the Trinity Lutheran Church.

His home, possibly still standing, was on the corner of Prince and Orange Streets (48-60 N. Prince St.).

He served in the Burk's County Militia in the Revolutionary War, 1st. Batallion, 2nd. Company under Capt. Stephen Crumrine. This batallion is the same on commanded by his son's father-in-law, Samuel K. Guldin.
