Mary A. Pitts (b. December 1854, d. 1949)

Mary A. Pitts (daughter of Simon-Bonaventure Petitpas and Johanna Corbatt) was born December 1854 in Nova Scotia¹⁷⁶, and died 1949 in Massachusetts. She married (1) Daniel Ahearn on November 19, 1876 in Boston, MA¹⁷⁷, son of David and Ellen. She married (2) James Furlong on February 14, 1904 in Boston, Mass, son of Charles Furlong and Eliza Bennett.

Mary's tombstone has birthdate as 1856.

Both of Mary's parents were born in Nova Scotia (1900 Census). She is the mother of 9, 8 still living.

Mary and her children are rumored to have lived in the Paul Revere House, when it was a tenement. (The Paul Revere House was a tenement between 1800 and 1908).

Late in life, Mary lived with her daughter Gertude in Malden, Mass.

Family Story: Mary always ate her dessert first and had all her own teeth when she died.
