This indenture made the 2nd day of February 1869 by and between Alexander Stuart and America his wife formerly O'Bryan, John W. Stuart, Frances Mattingly, formerly Stuart, Elizabeth Heady formerly Mattingly and B.T. Heady her husband, John T. Mattingly, Barbary Mattingly and Lucretia Mattingly. The four last named being children of Alex Mattingly dec'd._______ of William Stuart child and heir of John Stuart, dec'd by James H. Sims Commissioner of the first part and Ann Maria Stuart and John Alexander Stuart infant children of James Stuart of the second part,__________That where as George Simmons, Squire Murphy and James H. Sims did in pursuance of an order of the Nelson County Court made at the March Term of ___Court 1868 proceed to divide the lands of John Stuart, dec'd. among the heirs herein named and having so divided said lands and made their report which report was at the June Term of ___Court 1868 confirmed and ordered to record and James H. Sims was at the January Term of ___Court 1869 appointed a Commissioner to make deeds of ______to the heirs herein named of their respective portions of said lands as is set forth in said report, Therefore to confirm the allotment of land as made to the party of the second part, this indenture containing 170 acres bounded as follows - To wit __Beginning at a white oak corner to Nazareth and running thence …....(more follows describing land)
