A veteran of the revolutionary war and is buried near Ashville, NC. After the war he married and lived in VA and had at least one son. He is found in the 1800 census in Buncombe Co., NC. He married Barbara Yantes in Buncombe Co. in 1818 who already had a small daughter named Lucinda. Lucinda married Valantine Thrash's grandson, John and they had a large family in Ashville, NC area.
