RAMSEY January 10, 1882 in Searcy co., Ark., son of SMITH RAMSEY and MARGARET TILEY. He was born July 1855 in Big Flat (Stone) Ark, and died 1914.

She married JOHN FRANCIS ROSE January 05, 1888 in Big Flat, Stone co., Ark., son of THOMAS ROSE and LUCINDA DUGGAN. He was born August 01, 1860 in Gilbert (Searcy Co, ) or Carroll Co. Ark, and died April 26, 1936 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma Co., Ok.

Found a Sarah Holt who was a member by letter since Aug 5, 1912 of Corintha Missionary Baptist Church of Ark. who died March 1927. Found marriage license book C. Stone Co. PAGE. 71. married by Willey Wallis. E. S. Holt security. Mary Jane Rice a relative says she died Aug 11, 1947. Have copy of marriage licence.
Another relative Flossie Selby granddaughter of Perry lists only 2 children She lists Amos Wayne Rose 12-1874, and Linda Rose. Need to find where she found these names. Janie Rice sent me a copy of an Ok death certificate for Sarah Elizabeth Holt Rose. Information given by Lida Maze. She died of Pneumonia due to paralysis angina

1st wife Louisa Greenway, 2nd wife Sarah E. Holt reference: Mary Rice Occupation Farmer. Father Thomas Rose, Mother Lucinda Duggan 1900 Spring Twp Searcy Ark 6 children/ 6 living married 15 yrs. LA - John Patterson age 16 living with them. Living next door to William S & Nancy Holt.
According to Lida Maze (Daughter ) He worked in timber as a logger, made rail road ties, Barrell Stables, rented land and raided hogs and cows. His wife Sarah (nicknamed Betty?) was a mid-wife she gathered roots, weeds, barks for medicine. She sold ginseng Roots that she dug to the druggist in Marshall, Ark. Around 1897 they moved from Big Flat to Bear Creek near Snowball, Ark. The Children went to a one room log school house at Snowball. The teacher Charlie Tyler taught a 3 month semester. The Rose children walked four miles one way to school and had to wade the Bear Creek carrying their shoes. In 1908 The Rose family moved to Talihina, Ok where 2 more children were born. It took fifteen days with 3 wagons, horses, mules, cows chickens and kids to move from Ark to Ok. They traveled through the Boston Mountains, (about 80-90 miles crossing the Arkansas River on a barge near Ft Smith, Ark. After the older children moved away in 1923, John gave up farming and moved to Oklahoma City in 2 Model T Ford Cars. John died at age 76 at the home of his son Winford and is buried beside Winford's 1st wife Lana Lee Thompson in Sunnyland Cemetery in Ok City. His wife lived another 10 yrs and died at the home of her Daughter Lida and is buried beside her son Glen in Sunnylane Cemetery. At this time 11 children were still living, 20 living grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren

He married NANCY VIRGINIA JENNY MCCLUNG February 24, 1891 in Gilbert, Searcy Co., Ark., daughter of JOHN MCCLUNG and CHEROKEE HARKEY. She was born August 1875 in Ark, and died in Ok.

Those listed Perry, Millie, Jno. In 1910 Searcy Co. - Census # dwelling 88 number of family 92 page 8648b and 8649a Sheet 6 139 Searcy Co. Spring Township age 38 married 19 years 8 children born 7 living. Sabre was living with son Wayne and his wife in 1910. According to Lida Maze his youngest son Wayne moved to Ok in 1919 and settled on Hominy Creek near Skitook Ok. Information on son Perrys children from ggrandson Larry Holt. Amos Wayne died of Stroke, buried at Ridgelawn Cemetery in Ok
