He married (1) MARY ELIZABETH VICKERY September 20, 1895 in Stone, Ark.. She was born August 16, 1872 in Ark, S.C., and died January 10, 1968 in Fifty-six, Stone Co, Ark. He married (2) VICEY ISABELLE PITTS17 October 05, 1935 in Gayler, Stone Co., Ark., daughter of BAZIL PITTS and MARY BROWN. She was born December 16, 1891 in Ark, and died June 21, 1965 in Fifty-six, Stone Co., Ark.

Found him at age 33 in 1910 Stone Co, Ark census PAGE. 248. Line 13.. Married to Lizzie (Elizabeth), also found marriage license to Mary E. Vickery PAGE. 119. He had Samuel Branscomb & Belle Pitts living as boarders. Children in 1991 were living in Mt. View. Married to Vicey Isabel (Belle) Pitts Some of the children went by the last name of Pitts according to A.B. Holt Was told he lived with both Lizzie & Belle at the same time. Lizzy worked the fields while Belle kept house. He had children by both women at the same time. I was told by a relative at Mt. View that on the way home from town one day a wind picked him up and carried him 1 mile and he promised God if he would let him live he would married Belle, He went home and he married Belle the next day.
Homestead property Sept 1, 1899 Book B, Certificate no 18494 Application # 28026. Section 10 Township 15, north of range 11. containing 80 acres. 1900 Stone Co. Ark Harris Twp House 108 with 3 children, 1910 Stone Co. Ark Census. Joseph's obit says he leaves to mourn his passing Elizabeth Victory and 6 children. It lists his death date as Aug 21, 1954. 1920 Stone Census lists him living in Rorie Twp. In Stone Co. Circuit Court their was an indictment dated May 1911 against Joe & Bell Pitts for illegal cohabitation.
1-5-1927 Joe sued Lizzie for divorce saying she was abusive, quarrelsome and told him to leave. His witnesses were Zade Southard, Alton Pitts Chancery CT records #376 Divorced Sept 30, 1935.
Janie (his daughter) said he played the fiddle at dances and knew so many songs by heart he could play all night and never repeat a song. he was blind. He ran a moonshine still back in the woods. Otto Holts wife Merle has Joe's old fiddle.

Mrs. King Holt charged her in court of Abusive and violent language April 1, 19ll., in May 1911, Belle and Joe were charged with Illegal Cohabitation docket 412. Charge by Arizona and John Bunch (her own sister) Charley & Rinie Woods & E.M. Br....hain

Found her in the 1900 census living at home with her husband Charles Goodman and daughter Susan born 1898. Married in 1898. Searcy Co. Spring Township in the 1880 Searcy Co. Census Beaver Twp Page 472A House 128. Rhina was still living in 1974 as was Melissa her sister. She was not shown on the 1900 census. Found her marriage license in Book B of Searcy Co. I have in my possession a copy of her marriage license. married by Jacob Tarwarter.
Corresponded with her granddaughter in 1995 and got her death date and the fact that Charles Goodman and Charles Wood were the same man. Vanessa Woods Turner P. O. Box 734 Tuckerman Ark 9-11-95.
Lived in Tuckerman in 1957 when Jane died

He died in 1993.according to No Ark Funeral Home Book. Bought land Oct 1913 in Stone Co. King also homesteaded Land Legal is So 1/2 of the NW quarter and West 1/2 of NE quarter of Section 33 in Township 16 North of Range 11 West of the 5th Principal Meridian, June, 11, 1912. 160 acres Deed signed by President Wm H.
