Notes for A. B. (INITALS ONLY) HOLT:
I talked to A.B. & his wife Joyce at Big Flat Dec, 1991 in their home. Several years later, I arrived 7 weeks to late to interview A.B. His wife did show me pictures of his parents King & Lovie and another picture probable Bud and Nancy Holt. I was not able to copy them. A. B. was in the yard visiting with a friend when he had a heart attach. Joyce called their daughter and an ambulance and took him to Mt.View where he died shortly after. I have a copy of his obit from Mt. View Wave. He was a custodian at Big Flat School. He had 5 grandchildren and 1 great grand child. Pall bears were Terry Mize, Kurt Stevens, Bob Stevens and Jeffery Ramsey, Darrell Ramsey, Jimmy Tilley, Honorary Clayton Lesley, Charles Holt & Terry White.
Baxter Bulletin lists a marriage of A.B. Holt to Miss Lona Kipling Dec 4, 1944. and several warning orders for divorce. Do not know if this is the same A.B. Holt but both were from Big Flat.

She married FELIX ELBERT MOODY⁴⁰ February 19, 1927 in Sylamore, Stone Co., Ark., son of AMOS MOODY and TABITHA FOSTER. He was born March 12, 1905 in Iuka, izard, Ar, and died March 16, 2002 in Calico Rock (Izard) Ark ⁴¹.

Notes for LUCY ANNAS JANE HILL:
Middle name was given by Luke 7/1997 at her home in Boswell. Luke had a stroke in 1998 and had to live at the Calico Rock nursing home. Their home was sold by nephew Wayne Hill. Luke & Eb moved across from Magaleen until Luke had her stroke then Ebb moved in with Magaleen, then moved into the same room with Luke at the Calico Rock Nursing Room.
Gale Wooten preached Luke's Funeral, pallbearers were Eddie Guthrie, Wayne Hill, Ronnie Guthrie, Orval Lee Jeffrey, Vaughn Moody. She was a member of the Church of Christ at Twin Creek

PAGE. 21 of No. Ark 1944-92 funeral book. Married twice. Once to Ed Sutterfield and last to Frank Brownfield. Clara was nick named Dutch by her brothers and sisters. She is my Aunt. Clara and Ed lived on Poke Mountain in Sylamore then she lived at Mt. Olive, Arkansas. Middle name was supplied by sister Lucy Moody in 1997. Funeral Folder lists Casket bearers as: Lonnie Richardson, Earl Brown, Johnny McMurry, Junior Holt, J.R. Henderson, Benny Stevens. Officiant Rev. Roland Gillihan

Ed & Clara had a lot of children the names were given to me by her sister Lucy Moody and sister Marie Queen and sister in law Madge Hill. I believe them to be correct the information I have on him came from the no. Ark Funeral Home Record. His marriage license lists him as age 21 in 1926 which would make him born in 1906. Ed and Clara were divorced after many years of marriage
I have his funeral memorial paper lists birth March 18, 1908. Pallbearers, Jack, Earl, Randy, Kenneth and Russell Sutterfield and Glen Crymes

Died of Cancer, Married July 6, 1934 in Cotter, Had sisters Bessie, May, and Blanch. All are dead except Bessie in 1994. Dale (her son) states that her birth certificate lists name as Cara L but she always used Gladys Cara and that was on her social security card.

He married MADGE GLADYS BRAMHALL September 04, 1937 in Cotter, Baxter, Ark., daughter of C. BRAMHALL and MYRTLE LEE. She was born September 24, 1913 in Timbo, Stone Co., Ark., and died October 16, 1999 in Wichita, Sedgwick Co., Kansas.

Notes for FRANK JAMES HILL:
Frank worked on the railroad at Cotter as a young man, He worked at McConnel Air Force Base in Wichita, KS. as a boiler operator for 23 1/2 yrs. He was inducted into the Army from Camp Robinson on May 12, 1944. He served with Co D of the 155th Battalion. Honorably discharged from Camp Hood Texas on July 5, 1944. Frank's favorite sport was Baseball. He collected coins and Indian Head pennies. When he was younger he enjoyed pool and dominoes. His funeral was preached at Hillside Funeral Home in Wichita by Dr. Donald Crisp of the Community Church in planeview. Norma Blake sang. Casket bearers were: Gerald Hill and grandsons Wally Bramhall, Chris & Craig Repass, Kelly & Gary Hill, Jr. Frank died of Lung Cancer at his home where he and Madge lived with Diane & Rip Repass.

Listed in Baxter Co School Students Sept 9, 1929 Blanche Graham, teacher. He served in the army in World War II. Hubert lived in Seattle after the Army. He had a stroke July 2001, and went into a nursing home. .

Listed in Baxter Co. School Students at Cotter Sept 2, 1934 in same class as Roy her brother, and Beatrice Queen. Marie lived in Wichita, KS during the 50's, 60's until after Jess had a stroke then they moved to Calico Rock Ark. .

Notes for JESSE OLIVER QUEEN:
Jess worked at the roundhouse in Cotter over 5 years after the war. He then moved to Wichita to work at Christopher Iron Works for over 32 years as a welder. He had a stroke and they returned to Calico Rock, Ark. He played the french harp & guitar. He was inducted in the army at age 24. He was a Rifleman, served in the Asiatic Pacific, Guadalcanal and Fiji Islands.
Pallbearers: Chuck Fuller, Wayne Hill, H.L. Queen, Kenny Owens, Ronnie Hill, Earl Brown.
