Martin Perrien & Michele Huff Ancestry

About Our Family Research

Hello and welcome to this site.

Some things worthy of noting are the facts that our ancestors have fought in every American war since the Revolutionary War. We fought on both sides of the Civil War. We have migrated across the country to almost all 50 states that can be traced and documented. We had a close kinship with Davey Crockett and the Crockett's in Tennessee. We were original homesteaders in Indiana, Michigan, New Mexico, Arizona, and Colorado. I will be posting pictures, and letters from our ancestors as well, such as the one I have from Thomas Jefferson to Mr. Perrien in May 8, 1805.

Martin Nathan Perrien
31 January 2001

One day, we are all going to die. We will take with us all our memories, our knowledge, and our understanding of the worlds in which we grew up. Many of the photographs on our shelves will remain unmarked because the faces are familiar to us, or the places are easy enough for us to recall. But for our children's children and all the generations that follow, we will be leaving behind only a confused legacy of information which will be difficult---even impossible---for them to puzzle together without our assistance. They will want to know who you were as much as we would like to know what our own ancestors were like. The future of our history relies on us.
