There will be a Swisher/Switzer Family Gathering in West Virginia in July 2011.

The first Switzer descendent DNA test in 1998 initiated this project. The first Swisher/Switzer DNA Project proposal to Relative Genetics was in 2001 and ended with four subprojects and 41 paticipants. Some of the resuls rolled over to DNA Ancestry.com on Aug 1, 2007 when RG closed down and DNA-A.com started. The majority of participants opted out of ancestry.com which suspended Surname Projects and collaborative cooperation. Addtional DNA tests and Switzer Project partcipants were also tested in:
