Married.

J. Frank Gardner of Farmer City and Mrs. Mabel G. O'Dell of East St. Louis were united in marriage last Thursday afternoon at Clinton by County Judge John Bedinger at this office in the court house. The came immediately to this city and will reside in the property of the grooom at 103 East North street. They went to East St. Louis on Friday to ship the household effects of the bride to the new home.
Mr. Gardner has long been a resident of the city and is well known and highly regarded by all. His bride was a business woman in her home city, operating a dressmaking establishment and conducting a rooming house. She and Mr. Gardner became acquainted on one of his visits to his relatives in East St. Louis. The Journal joins with Frank's many friends in welcoming her to this city.

Frank Gardner

Frank Gardner, 80, died late yesterday evening in the Jacksonville hospital. He was taken to the John Warner hospital two weeks ago, and later to Jacksonville. He had made his home with his sister, Mrs. Eva Glardon the last ten years. The body was taken to the Reeser funeral home, Clinton, but funeral arrangements are incomplete

Hold Funeral of Frank Gardner in Clinton Saturday

Frank Gardner, 80, died Wednesday evening, Feb. 7, in the hospital at Jacksonville. He had been in failing health for some time.
He was born Jan. 12, 1865, in Wilson township, DeWitt County, the oldest of eight children, of Edward and Melvina Walters Gardner. He was a machinist and spent practically his entire life here with the exception of two years when he resided near Bloomington.
He was married t Lena Vance, who died about 28 years ago. He had made his home with his sister Mrs. EVa Glardon of this city. Gour sisters and one brother oreceded him in death.
Funeral services were held at the Reese Funeral Home, Clinton, at 1:30 p.m., Saturday. Burial was made in Rucker Chapel Cemetery.
Casket bearers were Herbert Harrld, Jesse McMurph[e]y, Carl Glardon, Dea Arbogast, Ray Gardner and Ora Milton.
Attending the funeral from a distance were Mr. and Mrs. Carl Glardon, Cuba, Miss Evelyn Glardon, Chicago, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Heinz, Argenta, Mrs. Fred Baldini, and Mr. and Mrs. S. M. Swartz, of Bloomington, and a number from this and the Weedman vicinities.
