Mrs. Charles Milton Died Suddenly at Home Saturday

Mrs. Charles E. Milton died suddenly at her home near Parnell at 11 o'clock Saturday morning, October 30. Heart trouble caused her death.
Mattie M. Gardner, daughter of Edward and Melvina Walters Gardner, was born near Clinton on July 4, 1873. She was married to Charles E. Milton in 1890 the couple residing on a farm in the Parnell vicinity.
Surviving are her husband, one daughter, Mrs. Winnie Rees of Evanston; four sons, Ralph of Chicago, Clifford of Lincoln, Ora of Farmer City and Elwood at home. Two daughters, Laverne and Moneta preceded her in death. Also surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Sherman Arbogast, Mrs. Eva Glardon of Farmer City and Mrs Belle Harrold of DeWitt; and one brother, Frank Gardner of Farmer City.
Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Methodist church, the Rev. M. S. Swisher officiating. Marshall Jones, accompanied by Mrs Ruth Thomasen, offered vocal seletions. Burial was in Maple Growve cemetery. dton. Flower Bearers were Norma Rees, Betty Rees, Evelyn Milton, Shirley Ann Milton, Irene Rees, Delores Gardner, June McIllvain, and Imogene Jasper.
