REFLECTION OF LIFE: Beatrice (Bea) was educated in the Orlando, Florida public schools. She attended the Mt. Olive AME Church where she was active in most organized programs where her area of concentration was the choir. she accepted Christ at an early age and remained a true believer until death, never looking back. In 1945, Bea moved to Troy, Ohio and joined St. James AME Church which is now known as St. James Community Church where she was an avid and active member working as superintendent and teacher of the Sunday School, Choir, Usher, Communion Stewardess, Secretary, member of the Bereavement, and Witness/Visitation Committees. Bea was a Community Activist and gave her service to other worthy affiliations which included: The Troy Council of Churches; Optimist; a Precinct Committee Woman; and as a member of the Central State University Mother's Assoc. Bea served many years as a March of Dimes and Easter Seal volunteer worker, only to mention a few. She was retired from the Troy Telephone Company. Bea was a member and Past Matron of Harmony Chapter #26, Order of the Eastern Stars, Troy, Ohio; a Past Commandress of Akbar court #33, Daughter of Isis, Springfield, Ohio; and Burning bush Court #3, Heroines of Jericho, Dayton, Ohio. Bea's two sons Theodore and Alvin joined their mother in Troy, Ohio in 1945 where he married Bennie L. Phifer (Sr) of the same year. Bea is the oldest member of the Ingram Family Reunion. Her husband, her parents and both of her sisters, Lillie Mae Jones of Orlando, Florida and Della Ross of Troy, Ohio, preceded Bea in death DEPARTURE: Bea departed this life on Wednesday, September 29, 1999 at Upper Valley Memorial Center, Troy, Ohio. 298. Funeral Program, OBITUARY BEATRICE EUNICE PHIFER ENTRY: Beatrice Eunice Phifer was born to Annie Ezerline Ingram and Richard James Welch on December 2, 1910 in Gainesville, Florida. REFLECTION OF LIFE: Beatrice (Bea) was educated in the Orlando, Florida public schools. She attended the Mt. Olive AME Church where she was active in most organized programs where her area of concentration was the choir. she accepted Christ at an early age and remained a true believer until death, never looking back. In 1945, Bea moved to Troy, Ohio and joined St. James AME Church which is now known as St. James Community Church where she was an avid and active member working as superintendent and teacher of the Sunday School, Choir, Usher, Communion Stewardess, Secretary, member of the Bereavement, and Witness/Visitation Committees. Bea was a Community Activist and gave her service to other worthy affiliations which included: The Troy Council of Churches; Optimist; a Precinct Committee Woman; and as a member of the Central State University Mother's Assoc. Bea served many years as a March of Dimes and Easter Seal volunteer worker, only to mention a few. She was retired from the Troy Telephone Company. Bea was a member and Past Matron of Harmony Chapter #26, Order of the Eastern Stars, Troy, Ohio; a Past Commandress of Akbar court #33, Daughter of Isis, Springfield, Ohio; and Burning bush Court #3, Heroines of Jericho, Dayton, Ohio. Bea's two sons Theodore and Alvin joined their mother in Troy, Ohio in 1945 where he married Bennie L. Phifer (Sr) of the same year. Bea is the oldest member of the Ingram Family Reunion. Her husband, her parents and both of her sisters, Lillie Mae Jones of Orlando, Florida and Della Ross of Troy, Ohio, preceded Bea in death DEPARTURE: Bea departed this life on Wednesday, September 29, 1999 at Upper Valley Memorial Center, Troy, Ohio.
