SAAC NEWTON FELCH:
      Isaac Newton Felch, born February 16, 1815, in Limerick, Me.; graduated at Bowdoin College in 1838; studied law, and was admitted to the bar in 1843; was editor of the "Progressive Age," "Waldo Signal" and the "Portland Evening Courier;" and a member of the Maine Legislature for several years. He married Isabella Nichols Johnson in October 1841, born in 1818, in Brunswick, Me.; and died there July 2, 1873. He Died April 21, 1870, in Hollis, Me., where he then resided. In a sketch of him which appeared in one of the Portland papers, the writer says: "He was popular in college, kindhearted and genial, ever thoroughly honest, and respected by all."

      Horace Piper, born December 30, 1810, in Parsonsfield, Me.; graduated at Bowdoin College in 1838; received the degree of A.M. in 1841; was Principal of Limerick Academy six years, from 1838-1844; of Biddeford High School ten years, from 1849-1859; and taught other schools about four years, in all about twenty years; was trustee of Limerick Academy and Parsonsfield Seminary; member, for York County, of the Board of Education of the State of Maine three years, from 1846-1849; assisted Salem Town, LL, D., in preparing his series of "Progressive Readers," and Benjamin Greenleaf, A.M. in revising his "Common School Arithmetic;" pursued a legal course of study, and graduated at the Law School of the National University, Washington, D.C., receiving the degree of LL.B. He married Josephine Bennett Lord, daughter of Richard and Lydia (Bennett) Lord, August 30, 1838, born July 16, 1816, in Parsonsfield, Me. She was a woman of much decision of character, of a keen intellect, and a kind and cheerful disposition. Her attachment to her family and friends was strong, and her great desire was to make them happy. She took a deep interest also in the welfare of others, and was prompt and faithful in all her duties. In person she was a little above the medium height, and of prepossessing appearance. She united with the Second Congregational Church of Biddeford, Me., several years before her death, and lived a life consistent with her profession. She died August 5, 1867, in Biddeford. He has resided in Parsonsfield, Limerick, and Biddeford, and for the last twenty years has lived in Washington, D.C. He also has done the family history 1630-1889.

He resides and practices medicine in Cleveland, Ohio.
