Dr. Piper studied medicine at the Boston University (M.D., 1890), and began his practice at Hillsborough, N.H.,where he remained until 1896, when he re. to Lexington, Mass. He is a leading physician and citizen, and a 32d degree Mason and Life Member of Massachusetts Consistory.

FOUND IN HISTORY OF NATHANIEL PIPER AND SOME OF HIS DESCENDANTS

      Fred Smith Piper* began the practice of medicine at Hillsborough, N.H. in 1890. He moved to Lexington, Mass., January 11, 1897. He has been a lecturer on Theory and Practice in Boston University School of Medicine. On December 28, 1927 he was appointed by Governor Fuller Associate Medical Examiner of the Fourth Middlesex District. He is a member of the Massachusetts Medical Society and of The American Medical Association; is a life member of Simon W. Robinson Lodge A.F. and A.M. of Lexington, of Massachusetts Consistory, Scottish Rite Masons 32, and of Aleppo Temple, Mystic Shrine of Boston; a life member and past president of the Lexington Historical Society, and is identified with the First Parish of Lexington. His middle name is for Henry H. Smith, M.D., of Dublin.

Fred Smith Piper and Mabel Marion (Scott) Pier were divorced in 1897.
