PERRY HAROLD¹¹ PIPER (CHARLES HENRY¹⁰, WARREN TAYLOR⁹, PERRY H⁸, EZEKIEL⁷, DAVID⁶, ELISHA⁵, SAMUEL⁴, SAMUEL³, NATHANIEL², JOSIAS¹) was born October 17, 1894 in Rownship, Bureau,County, Illinois, and died August 1984 in Dixon, Illinois. He married MABEL MAE WOOD December 08, 1915 in Home, Dover Township, Bureau County, Illinois. She was born October 19, 1896 in Ohio Township, Bureau County, Illinois, and died October 30, 1968 in Dixon, Illinois.

Notes for PERRY HAROLD PIPER:
      Perry was a farmer east of Princeton, Illinois. He had one hundred and sixty acres of farm land. He married Mabel Mae Wood in 1915, they had four children. Alvin being his only son helped on the farm. The farm was from his father Warren T. Piper. Alvin was the only child having children of his own, he was killed by a gravel truck at an early age, in July of 1959.
      Perry farmed until the death of his wife, he then had to care for his two daughters Alice, and Evelyn because of poor health problems were unable to care for themselves, and retired from farming. His daughter Eunice helped him care for the girls.
      In 1983 he fell and broke his pelvis and he then went to live with his daughter and son-in-law Eunice and Homer Brandenburg. They cared for him until his death in 1984.

Alice L. Piper, 45, Route 2, Princeton, passed away at the Orchard Glenn Nursing Home, Dixon, on Friday. She was born May 17, 1923, in Sublette, the daughter of Perry and Mabel Wood Piper.
she is survived by her father; two sister, Mrs. Homer (Eunice) Brandenberg, Dixon, and Evelyn G. Piper, Dixon.
Miss Piper was receded in death by her mother; one brother, Alvin Perry Piper.
She was a member of St. Matthew's Lutheran church.
Funeral services were held Sunday at 1:30 P.M. at Norberg Memorial home, with the Rev. Alfred Grewe officiating. Interment was at the Manlius cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Heart Fund.

      At the funeral of his nephew, Alvin Piper son of Perry Piper who was killed by a gravel truck, Eugene made this comment: RAIN ON AN OPEN GRAVE WILL BRING ANOTHER DEATH IN THE FAMILY."      After making this comment Eugene was the next one in the family that died.

Lyle's first wife died in 1932. He had four children to raise at the time of her death. He soon married and at the time of his marriage he pushed his children out of his home to make a home for her children. His two daughters were sent to live in California with people there.
