Mrs. Clara May Flynn, 88, Marceline, Mo., formerly of Kansas City, died Monday at a hospital in Marceline. She was born in Carrollton, MO., and had lived in this area 40 years before moving to Ethel, Mo., in 1966. She moved to Marceline in 1975. Mrs. Flynn worked for the Crook Paper Box Co. 19 years before she retired in 1948. She was a member of the Ethel Christian Church and the Keystone Conclave of the Order of the True Kindred. She leaves a daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Louise Watt, Marceline; two brothers, William F. Calvert, Kansas City, and Herman H. Mrs. Dorothy Louise Watts, 68, of Marceline, Mo., formerly of Kansas City, died Wednesday at a hospital in Columbia, Mo. She was born in Kansas City and lived most of her life in Kansas City before she moved to Ethel, Mo., in 1966 and then to Marceline in 1978. Mrs. Watts was a secretary for the Carpenter's District Council in Kansas City for 17 years before she retired in 1965. She leaves her husband, Marmie R. Watts of the home. Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday at the Park Lawn Chapel; burial in Memorial Park Cemetery, Kansas City. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the chapel.

Edward J. Jackman, 84, of 2807 E. 77th Terrace, died Wednesday at Research Medical Center. He was born in Moundville, Mo., and lived here 65 years. Mr. Jackman was a retired carpenter. He was an Army veteran of World War I and a member of the American Legion. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Lucy May Jackman of the home; a son, William E. Jackman, 6907 E. 98th; a stepson, Robert H. Black, Edgerton in Platte County; two daughters, Mrs. Helen E. Grubb, 7522 Mackey, and Mrs. Virginia Cassity, 7615 W. 98th, both of Overland Park; a brother, Frank Jackman, Hollister, Mo.; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. John H. Calvert, 80, of 11358 Sycamore Terrace, died Sunday at Research Medical Center. He was born in Carrollton, Mo., and had lived in this area most of his life. Mr. Calvert was a cost accountant for the Al Lingren Construction Co. before he retired in six years ago. He earlier was an accountant for several construction companies in this area. He was the lead violinist in Johnny Calvert's Orchestra, which he lead from 1922 to 1927. He was a mason and a shriner. He was a member of the Covenant United Presbyterian Church. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Ruth Calvert of the home; a son, George Calvert, West Hartford, Conn.; two daughters, Mrs. Sheryl Ashburn, Grandview, and Mrs. V-Ann Brown, Virginia Beach, Va.; two brothers, William F. Calvert, Kansas City, and Herman Calvert, Strasburg, Pa.; three sisters, Mrs. Clara Flynn, Marceline, Mo., and Mrs. Annalou Boyle and Miss Verilous Calvert of Kansas City; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Mrs. Walter Curnett

Mrs. Margaret E. Curnett, 72, Scottsbluff, Neb., former president of the Kansas City Council of Parent-Teacher Associations, died Thursday at the home. Mrs. Curnett served two terms as president of the PTA council during the 1950s. She also had served on the Governor's Safety Council, the Mayor's Traffic and Teen-age Problems committees, and the Citizens and Community Services councils.
She was a member of the Woman's City Club, the Starlight Theater Association, the Kansas City Philharmonic Association and the Children's Community Theater. Mrs. Curnett was a Camp Fire Girls leader.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Kansas City, 2310 Linwood. She was born in Wakenda, Mo., and had lived in this area most of her life before moving to Scottsbluff two years ago.
She leaves her husband, Walter Curnett of the home; a son, Dan Curnett, Steelville, Mo.; two daughters, Mrs. Joyce Rowe, Scottsbluff, and Mrs. Karen Sue Wilson, Mason City, Iowa; three brothers, John H. Calvert and William F. Calvert of Kansas City, and Herman Calvert, Strasburg, Pa.; three sisters, Mrs. Clara Flynn, Marceline, Mo., and Mrs. Ana Boyle and Miss Berilous Calvert of Kansas City, and eight grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the Newcomer Brush Creek Chapel; burial in Memorial Park Cemetery, Kansas City. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the chapel. The family suggests contributions to the Scottsbluff First Baptist Church.
