Oziah Denton Brimm, the son of Oziah Denton and Julia Ann (Spurlock) Brimm, was born December 25, 1872 in Woodbury, Tennessee and departed this life on April 16, 1953 at his home in Jonesboro, at the age of 80 years, 3 months and 22 days. At an early age he professed faith in Christ as his Savior. He was united in marriage to Laura Shepard in 1898. To this Union four children were born, Roy, Richard, Betty and Helen. his wife preceded him in death in 1912. He was again united in marriage to Nettie White and to this Union six children were born. he came to Illinois at an early age and spent most of his life farming in and around Anna. He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife, Nettie and ten children, Richard, Carl, Ray, Mrs. Bessie Boyer of Anna, Mrs. Helen Stoner, Roy, Frank, Collin and Rusell of Jonesboro, Willie and Lucille Houglan of Murpysboro, three step daughters, Mrs. Nannie Jones, Manila Arkansas, Mrs. Ida Knight, Anna, Mrs. Myrtle Forrest, Memphis,Tennessee, two brothers, Hershel and Bill (William, husband of Francis Pitts) of Anna, two sisters, Mrs. Issac Tucker, Mrs. Addie Boyer of Anna, 24 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and a host of friends. Funeral services were held Saturday April 18, in the United Pentecostal church in Anna at 2 o'clock, Rev. Bennie Jones, Pastor. Interment in Casper Cemetery. Norris and Son in charge.
