James Manford Poole (son of James Poole and Elizabeth Mize) was born August 25, 1915 in Illinois, and died March 25, 1967 in Illinois. He married Effie L. Unknown on March 14, 1934.

Manford James Poole, age 51, of Elco IL., died Saturday noon, at the home of his son Eugene Poole, in Tamms, after a long illness. he was a member of the Elco Pentecostal church and a church trustee, a member of the Elco 100F Lodge 643 and Modern-Woodmen. Mr. Poole was an employee of the Illinois Mineral Company. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Effie Poole of the home, three daughters, Mrs. Wanda Sue Goodwin of Town Creek, Alabama, Mrs. Peggey Smith of Decatur and Mrs. Jean Web of Tamms, three sons, Eugene Poole of Tamms, Jimmie Poole of Chicago and Donald Ray Poole of Elco, and his Mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Poole of Elco. He is also survived by two sisters, Mrs. Pearl Cross of Elco and Mrs. Erma Richards of Ullin. Three brothers, Harley Poole of Elco, Harold Poole of Granite City and Eanis Poole of Mill Creek, and 13 grand children. Funeral services were held Tuesday, at 1 p.m., at the Elco Pentecostal Church, with Rev. Frank Schierbaum officiating. Interment was made in the St. John's Cemetery. Odd Fellows services were held Monday night, at 8:00 p.m., at Farnsworth Funeral Home.
