Researching the following surnames (all spellings)--all help and ideas greatly appreciated: BERCHTOL, BROWN, BRUMBAUGH, COOPER, COGHILL, CROMWELL, CUMMINGS, DOYLE, HAMMONS, HULL, KELLY, MAUGAN, METSKER, MUELLER-MILLER, OLIVER, POTTER, RILEY, RINKER, ROCHETTE, STEWART, SWAFFORD, TREHEARNE, VAUGHAN. Others, too.

I have many, many Gedcoms and family trees, many old photos, but I have not had the time to cut off the trees at the grandmother level to make them fit for the internet. Some lines go back to early 1700's N. America, others U.K., Scotland, Ireland 12th-17th Centuries, also Switzerland 1655, German Palintate, the Saar, Wurrtemberg, Alsace-Lorraine, Bavaria, 16th-18th Centuries.

Especially need the death dates and places for Powhatan or Powhatten Cromwell and son P.A. Cromwell (the latter is probably 1898, Barton or Jasper CO, Mo or Ky or Indiana (Clay CO?). Powhatan Cromwell was in Anderson CO, KY in the 1850 census with divorced mother Ellen (Elena, Eleanor) Coghill Cromwell Jewell and wife Martha Oliver (Martha Jane or Mary Martha Jane). Powhatan and Martha were both born in Clay CO, Indiana, Martha in Bowling Green, IN, Powhatan the son of Oliver Cromwll and Elena Coghill.

Desperately need more information about Richard Riley and Edith Stewart, parents of the Rev. John Riley (United Brethren) of Westmoreland CO, PA, IN, OH and JASPER CO, MO, alsothe parents of John's wife, Rebecca Cooper of Somerset CO, PA, J. Cooper and Jane Doyle. I now believe John was the brother of James, Eunis, Abigal Julian, Mary, Jacob Stewart and Matilda.

Looking for Mary Emma Swafford (or Swaffar) of Bledsoe CO, TN who married Stokley Dollison Hamman (Hammons)at an early age, about 1849, prob. Sparta, White CO, TN and came to NW Arkansas with him. They had several children. He was murdered in NW AR in 1865 after being released from a Union Prison Camp in Illinois and coming home. Mary Emma later married W.S Cox, pastor of the Spring Valley Baptist Church and had three more children by him . She is buried in Dice Cemetery, Fairview, Newton CO, MO.

Amost elusive ancestor lady--Mary (Polly, Becky) Vaughan, mother of Stokley Dollison Hammons, Dec 01, 1832 and Amanda Jane Hammons, 1836, both born in Hawkins CO, TN where Mary was living with Micajah Hammons (Hamman). He had other children by wife Nancy Roark, who remained in Hawkins, when Micajah, Mary, Stokley, Amanda and Micajah's son Thomas and family moved on to Bradley CO, TN by 1840, then on west to NW Arkansas Washington and Madison Counties to live at Spring Valley near Micajah's sisters Margaret and Martha Catherine, who had married Vaughan brothers Daniel and Samuel of the Fereby Benton, William Patrick Vaughan of Tretower Castle, Wales, clan. Mary was born about 1800, presumably in the SE. Micajah may be half or less Native American, Choctaw or Cherokee possibly. Mary may be part N.A., too. She died 1860 or 1861 Madison or Washington CO. Micajah died in 1876 in Benton CO, AR in the home of daughter Amanda Jane Hammons McNatt, who has a son, Micajah McNatt.

I will try to put up trees, GEDCOMS, research, reports and photos later.

Any help or ideas appreciated.
