This genealogical research of the Prescott Family originating in Hampton, New Hampshire was put together by Richard (Rick) Prescott. I am a 9th generation descendant of James Prescott, who settled in Hampton, New Hampshire in 1665 from England. James was known as a man of integrity and considerable influence within the Hampton community. He established a farm near what is now Hampton Falls and married Mary Boulter in Hampton, New Hampshire in 1668 and thus began this line of the Prescott Family in America.
My basic reference for the foundation of my compiled work was the "Prescott Memorial" written by Dr. William Prescott and first published in 1870. I also used the "Prescott Memorial" Update 2000, published by the Ward Publishing Company, 42 Larchmont Rd, Asheville, N.C. 28804. Supplementary information was derived from the "Prescotts Unlimited" quarterly newsletter published and distributed by Mrs. Doris Ward at Ward Publishing Company. Countless hours on the Genealogy.Com website also contributed greatly to expanding my research to other branches of the Prescott family.
