Notes for FLOYD WILLIAM PRICE: Floyd was in the 4th Virginia Inf Company L , along with eight other Prices from Prices Fork Va. They were in Stonewall Jacksons Corp. 1862 provost guard at Mount Jackson, promoted to Sgt Dec 3 1862 and to 1st Sgt Apr 10 1864. He was taken P.O.W. at Spotsylvania Va on May 12 1864 and was held at Elmira NY, until June 19 1865. He was 5ft 6in, dark eyes hair and complexion. This Information is from the history of the 4th Virginia Infantry by Dr James I Robertson Professer of History at Va Tech. Floyd was my 3rd cousin 3 times removed, James A Price. |
