Questions to Andrew rabatin at wtravlr1@msn.com My Grandfather George Rabatin, had a brother John Rabatin, they came from Vajkovce, Slovakia in the late 1800's. My grandfather, George Rabatin married Anna Roskos this was her second marriage as her first husband died (George Roskos). Her maiden name was Anna Marenchian also from Slovakia. George's first wife died(Anna Sabol Erickson)(Erickson was Anna's First husband.) This was also George's second marriage. George was a coal miner in the early 1900 in eastern Pa. His first wife was Anna Sabol(maiden name) (Erickson)- Anna's fist husband.)) Sometime in the between 1900 and 1910 their first spouses died and they were married, and settled in Farrell, Pa. So there were children from the first marriage for both and children together. Now we have information that Rabatins also went out to the western United States, and other parts of Ohio. May be relatives in Fayette county Pa. as well. We have returned from Slovakia, Apr. 2006 with updated information. Pictures of our 2006 Slovakia trip are at the link below look under TRAVEL/INTERNATIONAL and you will see Slovakia and Grave site pictures.
