Looking for any Ancestry information on the RAEL family line and their history back to Europe or Spain if at all possible.
Some web information indicates the "RAEL" surname may possibly be from Sephardi Jews in Spain, any help or validation sources in this area would also be appreciated.
Paternally looking for varifiable information from my great-grandfather's line. He was Bartolo RAEL (b. Nov 8, 1817, Santa Fe New Mexico; d. 1920, La Cienega New Mexico; Dates per the Grave Marker) with 2nd wife Maria Ursula CARRILLO-CASTILLO (b. 1836; d. Jun 26, 1913, La Cienega New Mexico).
----------------------------------------------------------------- Maternally looking for varifiable information from my grandfather's line. He was Yasuetsu YASUHARA (b. Abt. 1906, Amami Oshima Japan; d. May 1945, Amami Oshima Japan) with wife Fukuchio TAKEDA (b. Abt. May 12, 1909, Amami Oshima Japan; d. Jan 6, 1998, Osaka Japan)
They had six children, though three had died soon after birth. The remaining children were as follows... Chuji YASUHARA (b. Jul 30, 1931; d. May 27, 1999); Etsuko YASUHARA (b. Jul 20, 1935); Chugi YASUHARA (b. Abt. Aug 1942; d. Abt. 1994)
My mother Etsuko YASUHARA left Japan around 19/20 years of age and married Jose RAEL (m. Jul 22, 1955). She has no real detail information about her family except some pictures as after ther father died when she was about 5 years, she was very busy working and helping her mother.
Details or direct information is also difficult for me to gather as many records were lost during World War II and any elder relatives are no longer living, and I am unable to travel to Japan to research directly.
Any information or direction to obtain family documents in Japan would be most helpful and much appreciated.
----------------------------------------------------------------- [Victor Armando RAEL; b: Sep 7, 1966] This Page created by me on behalf of my ancestry. I would appreciate any information other RAEL's or YASUHARA's could provide. I don't have much, but I am also willing to share what very limited information that I do have. Note that some limited information that I had has already been submitted to the World Family Tree Project back in 2001. I would also love any historical documents relating to any of my ancestry.
----------------------------------------------------------------- So if you have anything that would be helpful to link the past with the present, please email me at your earliest opportunity.
