Welcome to our "Family Tree" web page.

Most of the information on the Rakestraw/Heffernan side of the tree (Jerry's parents) was found in U.S. Census records or Encyclopedia of Quaker Genealogy.

The majority of the Perera/Perez side (Denise's parents) is strictly word of mouth, with just a few baptism/birth certificates for back-up, so unfortunately we're missing quite a few children's names, and the ancestors don't go back farther than Cuba.

This is a work in progress, so please help!! Any additional information or corrections will gladly be added. If you'd like more information on any individual or would like to be added to our tree, we'd be happy to hear from you.

Remember to right click on an individual and make them the **primary individual** to see their decendents (ie: if you don't see your name, make your grandparent the 'primary individual').

The first three trees only include direct ancestors (no second cousins, siblings, etc.) "The Forrest" has about 1700 people on it (mostly Rakestraw ancestors and distant relations)!!
