My family were a hardy stock of miners from cornwall uk.They were hard workers.even the women who became widows with many children to support on there own.many miners were killed on the job or died early from scilliosis or black lung disease.both my grand father and his dad before him.yet they wanted better for there sons and daughters so the grat migration began to a new country and better opportunity.canada was a wealth of opportunity and education.England was a stumbling block of class system no way to better yourself.
