Copy of article from Hermleigh, Texas newspaper:

LADY KILLED BY TRAIN TUESDAY AT HERMLEIGH

Mrs. Howard Clements was run over and killed by the R.S. & P. passenger train at Hermleigh late Tuesday evening. Her husband works at the Santa Fe station there and it has been her custom to go driving in for him with a buggy every evening from their home west of town. The train was unusually late Tuesday and possible she had not thought of danger. Just as she approached the track near the R.S. & P. depot some one called to her to stop. She tried to back the buggy away from the track but the horse became frightened and plunged forward in front of the on coming train which the engineer could not stop.
Mrs. Clements sustained a fractured skull and other injuries. She was taken into the depot where she died about 11 o'clock Tuesday night.
Several people from Snyder attended the funeral Wednesday.
