1 Isaac Vincent Isaac was born bef 1766. Census indicates Isaac was born between 1760 and 1765. He married Hart in North Carolina, ca 1785. Family records show Isaac married Miss Hart. A search of the state index to NC Marriage Bonds and Granville Co, NC bonds found no marriage of Isaac to any Hart. They are reported to be the parents of three sons and one daughter. He married Bradford. Family records report the Bradford marriage, no first name given, and no children reported. He married Sarah Smith. Records show Sarah was Isaac's third wife. Vincent Matthews, Jr., a direct descendant of Sarah, believes she was the widow Smith and a sister of Isaac's first wife. He thinks Sarah hart Smith Vincent named her only child, Isaac Smith Vincent, for the two husbands. Isaac died ca 1831 in Clarke Co, GA. Isaac apparently died after the census in 1830, and after 2 November 1830 when the annual return of George Reed was sworn to by Isaac Vincent who signed with a mark. On 4 November, 1833, William Evans applied for letters of administration on the estate of Isaac Vincent. No other probate records have been located. He does not appear in the 1831 tax digest of Clarke Co, GA; Isaac S. Vincent reported the Lee Co land drawn in the Land Lottery in 1831, 1832, and 1833. By 1834, the Lee Co land must have been sold, but the deed is not recorded in Isaac S. Vincent's name nor in the name of the administrator of the Isaac Vincent estate, William Evans, in Clarke Co. Lee Co, GA records were burned several times, and no early deeds survive. 2 Thomas Hart Vincent Thomas was born. Family records give this child; no other information. 2 Pleasant Hart Vincent Pleasant was born ca 1787. A. A. Vincent gave the birth of his father as Georgia in the 1880 census. His father moved from Rowan Co, NC, to Elbert Co, GA between 1794 and 1801. It is likely Pleasant was born in Granville Co, NC between 1785 and 1790. He married Susan Elizabeth Edwards in Elbert Co, GA, 14 January 1808. Pleasant died. Pleasant Hart Vincent left home in DeKalb Co, GA, in 1829 or 1830 on a visit to Red River. He was never heard from again. When Susan applied for a War of 1812 pension, the family was unable to prove his death. The applications listed the following dates of death: 1829 (in 1856), in Louisiana 4 December 1829 (in 1873), in Arkansas on 28 September 1834 (in 1857). In an affidavit dated 1857, A. A. Vinson and Mary Bostick stated that "Pleasant Vinson left his home in DeKalb county in said state in the year 1829 or 1830 on a visit to Red River, that the said Pleasant Vinson has never been heard of since, that they his children have long since and often made inquiries for the said Pleasant Vinson without deriving any information of him and that they believed that he is dead." (National Archives, Washington D.C., BLWT 48601-80-55) After his marriage to Susan Edwards, Pleasant bought 100 acres of land in Elbert Co on Holly's Creek in Mar 1810. He was also elected a Lieutenant in the Elbert Co, GA, militia, 205th District, in 1810. Beginning in Nov, 1815 and into 1816, he served in the War of 1812 as a private in Capt. Boon's company, and was discharged at Fort Hawkins. By 1820, he had moved his family to Walton Co, GA, where he appears in the census; he also drew land in Monroe Co in the 1821 Land Lottery while a resident of Walton Co. They remained in Walton Co where he registered for the 1827 land lotter, and drew land in Muscogee Co. In 1828, Walton County court records show that two horses belonging to Pleasant Vincent were sold to satisfy a debt. About that time, between 1827 and 1829, the family moved to DeKalb County, GA. According to the War of 1812 bounty and pension applications of Susan Vincent, he left on a trip to Red River and never returned. 3 Elizabeth Vincent Elizabeth was born. 3 Mary Vincent Mary was born in Elbert Co, GA ca 1809. She married Chesley Bostick. 4 Julia A. Bostick Julia was born in Georgia ca 1836. 4 Susan E. Bostick Susan was born in Georgia ca 1854. 3 Aulsey Ayres Vincent Aulsey was born in Elbert Co, GA 7 March 1811. That area of Elbert Co became part of Madison Co. He married Martha Gatewood Upshaw in Cass Co, GA, 4 January 1838. He married Jane E. Lowe 28 May 1865. She was the widow Bell. He married Margaret McEver in Bartow Co, GA, 8 January 1878. Aulsey died 15 September 1898 in Pine Log, Bartow Co, GA, at 87 years of age. His body was interred in Bartow Co, GA, Pine Log Methodist Cemetery. 4 Mary Elizabeth Vincent Mary was born in Cass Co, GA 2 January 1839. She married William Fletcher Weems 16 July 1856. Mary died 19 March 1919 at 80 years of age. Could be 6th. 4 William E. Vincent William was born in Cass Co, GA 9 September 1840. William died 25 October 1855 in Cass Co, GA, at 15 years of age. 4 Georgia Ann Vincent Georgia was born in Cass Co, GA 15 July 1842. Georgia died 5 February 1844 in Cass Co, GA, at 1 year of age. 4 Lucinda Ham Vincent Lucinda was born in Cass Co, GA 2 March 1844. She married George Washington Hughes in Bartow Co, GA, 28 August 1866. Lucinda died in Tyler, TX. 4 Martha Della Ann Vincent Martha was born in Cass Co, GA 28 November 1845. She married Newton B. Campbell. Martha died bef 1895. 4 James Upshaw Vincent James was born in Cass Co, GA 22 May 1847. He married Sarah Trippe. He married Louise "Louella" Gabrella Styles in Clayton Co, GA, 28 September 1875. Her obituary shows marriage in 1874. James died 6 January 1911 in Sourlake, TX, at 63 years of age. His body was interred in Meridian, Bosque Co, TX. He was shown as a journalist in the 1900 census. 4 Chesley Bostic Vincent Chesley was born in Pine Log, Cass Co, GA 10 December 1849. He married Ida Sarah Stephens in Pickens Co, GA, 5 December 1878. Chesley died 20 June 1915 in Pine Log, Bartow Co, GA, at 65 years of age. His body was interred in Bartow Co, GA. 4 Melvina Rucker Vincent Melvina was born in Cass Co, GA 11 March 1852. She married William T. Bradford. Melvina died 1944 at 92 years of age. 4 Aulsey Ewing Vincent Aulsey was born in Cass Co, GA 2 August 1855. He married Agnes Adair in Bartow Co, GA, 14 January 1885. Aulsey died 31 January 1940 in Lowndes Co, GA, at 84 years of age. His body was interred in Valdosta, Lowndes Co, GA, Sunset Hill Cemetery. 4 Lucius Melton Vincent Lucius was born in Cass Co, GA 13 March 1857. He married Sarah "Sallie" R. Mahan. Lucius died 31 July 1917 at 60 years of age. 4 Luanah Glenn "Lula" Vincent Luanah was born in Cass Co, GA 10 April 1860. Luanah died 31 March 1944 in Bartow Co, GA, at 83 years of age. Her body was interred in Bartow Co, GA, Pine Log Methodist Cemetery. She never married. 4 Susan Bernia Vincent Susan was born in Bartow Co, GA 22 September 1862. She married Andrew Jackson Reynolds ca 1883. She was teaching school as noted in the 1880 census. Family note has divorced with ?, no known issue, died in ?Atlanta. 4 Lorena Gatewood Vincent Lorena was born in Bartow Co, GA 13 September 1864. She married William Joshua Darnell Dr. in Pickens Co, GA, 14 September 1884. Lorena died 18 August 1938 at 73 years of age. Her body was interred in Bartow Co, GA, Pine Log Methodist Cemetery. 4 Hart Edward "Eddie" Vincent Hart was born in Bartow Co, GA 28 March 1866. Hart died in Texas. 4 Estella Dea Vincent Estella was born in Bartow Co, GA 19 September 1868. She married John Paul Adair 1888. Estella died 13 August 1909 at 40 years of age. 4 unnamed Vincent Unnamed was born in Bartow Co, GA about 1880. Unnamed died about 1880 in Bartow Co, GA. 3 John M. Vincent John was born in Georgia ca 1820. He was probably born in Walton County. He married Mary Ann Edwards in Blount Co, AL, 11 June 1857. This is not proved; family information shows he "married an Edwards from Alabama." 3 Isaac M. Vincent Isaac was born in Georgia 6 April 1821. He was probably born in Walton County. He married Eliza Ballew. Isaac died 11 October 1857 at 36 years of age. Family notes show they "lived in New Orleans." He married Elizabeth Eugenia Methvin in Caldwell Par, LA, 3 November 1868.
