James Peter Brown, born Nov. 22, 1843 died April 11, 1925. Served in the Confederate Army, 20th Tennessee Regiment, Company F during the War between the states. He saw action in six campaigns including Shilow, Missionary Ridge, Lookout Mountain and Murfreesboro. He was captured in 1863 and held prisoner in Illinois until May 5, 1865.
