Funeral Services for Dr. Gerald Eugene Boggs, 64, of Park Hill, OK will be Friday, September 11, at 11:00 a.m. in the First Baptist Church of Tahlequah, with Brother Ron Rice officiating. Interment will follow at 3:00 P.M., at the Weleetka City Cemetery, in Weleetka, OK, under the direction of Green Country Funeral Home of Tahlequah. Gerald was born December 19, 1933 in Weleetka, OK and died on September 8, 1998 in Muskogee, OK. He and Viola were married in October 1958 in Texas. Gerald had worked as a professor at East Central University in Ada, OK and was employed by the Oklahoma State board of Regents for several years. He retired from Northeastern State University in Tahlequah after 10 years of service. Gerald was a member of the First Baptist Church, Tahlequah. Gerald was proceeded in death by his parents, a brother A.H. Boggs, and a sister, Peachie Maddox. He is survived by his wife of the home, three daughters, Terri Mc Callie of Mena, AR, Jerri Studdard of River Ridge LA, and Kathy Harris of Luther, OK, three sisters, Billie Pike, Skeet Finney, and Margaret Andrews, three Grandsons and one granddaughter, as well as a host of other relatives, friends, and loved ones.
