Updated January 19, 2009

About Our Family Research

Croak family from Ballinure, Burnchurch, Killenaule in the county of Tipperary - left their homeland as a result of the famine - some arriving as early as 1849. They settled together in one area of Chicago initially and the majority of the men were workers in tannery factories. Do you have ancestors with names John, Thomas, Patrick, Richard, William, Edward in your family from Chicago? Women were Bridget, Ellen, Johanna, Mary.
I have completed extensive research on this family. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The Conroy family came primarily from Thurles and Cashel area of Tipperary County between 1865-1868. Have located Michael, Ellen, Anne, Mary A., Bridget, looking for Edward, James, Patrick and John. Most buried in Calvary Cemetery, Evanston, IL.
