Notes for George W Ice:
George originally farmed in West Virginia, then worked on the building of track for the B&O Railroad in Ohio, later returning to farming in Kansas. The 1885 and 1895 census records of Kanawaka Township, Douglas County, Ks, confirm the family information.

Listed with family in 1880 Monmouth Township, Shawnee Co., Ks, census - Ages of children at census are Marshall, aged 15, Walter, aged 9, and Denise, aged 2.

He was married in West Virginia before coming to Kansas. Possibly went to Idaho with Challen, and died there.
