I am a 70 yr. old white male, born in Saginaw, Michigan in 1933, I live in S.E. Michigan where I spent most of my life.
I graduated from Wayne H.S., Wayne, Mich. in 1951. I served in the U.S. Navy Hospital Corp. and was honorably discharged (1951-1954). I graduated with a B.S. degree from the University of Detroit in 1966.
I married my high school sweetheart Patricia Keller and we built a home in Warren, Mich.(195), were we raised five children and enjoyed the next 44 years. I now have 13 Grandchildren and 8
Gr.Grandchildren.

I was employed as a Sr. Research Chemist at General Motors Research Laboratories in Warren, Mich. In 1977 I semi-retired and opened my own businesses. I had a heart transplant in 1988 and after my recovery I hired out at a photographic reproduction company. I fully retiring in 2001.

I am a member of the B.P.O.E.(Benevolent & Protective Order of Elks) & V.F.W.(Veterans of Foriegn Wars).
I enjoyed amature radio communication, auto racing, hunting, chess, cards, computers and my family genealogy research.

My lovely wife Pat died June 5,1996. In 2001 I sold our home in Warren, Mich. and moved in with my oldest daughter Sheryl Love while we built a new home (seperate apartment attached)in Waterford, Mich., NW of Detroit in which we now reside.

I have researched my family tree for over 50 years, with the assistance of my daughter-in-law Renate (Gennrich) Woodward, my family and many many others, to whom I will always be greatful.
It started when I was visiting my 1st. cousin 3 times removed George Trusdell (son of Sarah [Woodward] Trusdell) in 1955. While perusing some of George Trusdell's diaries, written about his family history, I became fervently interested in my own family history.
My family name "WOODWARD" is now traced back 15 generations, from the latest of my Gr. Grandchildren (born in 2002) to Edward Woodward (born about 1610). At present there are over 3050 of my ancestors and descendants' names on the tree (spanning nearly 400 years).

I have actually stood on the parcel of land in Pennsylvania that the first Woodward purchased from a John Symcock (an agent for William Penn) and have visited the very spot that my
9Gr.Grandfather set foot upon when he first arrived in America.
I am currently attempting to varify the name of the actual ship upon which my early ancestors were passengers.
I continue to enjoy working on my family tree & history and playing cards.
