Frans Banning Cocq is the central figure in the Rembrandt painting, popularly known as "Night Watch." Barent Barentsen, the brother of Annatie Barents, Albert Bradt's wife, appeared before Cocq, who was an official in Amsterdam, and declared his intentions to be married.
