WRIGHT SLEEPER was the son of HEZEKIAH SLEEPER and HANNAH BATCHELDER early pioneers of Stanstead County, Quebec. HEZEKIAH was originally from Rockingham County, New Hampshire. HEZEKIAH descended from THOMAS SLEEPER and JOANNA LEE early settlers of Hampton, Rockingham County, New Hampshire. HANNAH BATCHELDER descended from the Rev. STEPHEN BACHILER, founder of Hampton, Rockingham County, New Hampshire. WRIGHT SLEEPER's wife, PHILINDA COLE was the daughter of ASA C. COLE and LOVISA DODGE. LOVISA's parents were NATHAN DODGE and PAMELIA POMEROY of Chesterfield, New Hampshire. PHILINDA COLE (SLEEPER's) paternal grandparents were SIMEON COLE of Watertown, Ct., and ELIZABETH SHERMAN of Woodbury, CT., who like the SLEEPER's were early settlers of Stanstead County, Quebec and both families are listed in The History of Stanstead County Province of Quebec by B. F. HUBBARD.
