Robert Sewell of Ontario, Canada

Updated October 22, 2008

About Our Family Research

We have traced our family back through {Hon} Jonathan Sewell and his wife Henrietta Smith to {Rev} Henry Sewall who arrived at Boston in 1634 and began a plantation at Newbury. Through Henrietta Smith, we are descended from Robert Livingston, a nephew of Robert "the Grantee" Livingston, First Lord of the Manor and from the Livingstons of Callendar.
We are looking for further information on Sewall, Sewell and Shewell prior to William Shewell and Matilda Horne of Coventry circa 1540.
We also need information on Quincy and prior to Edmund "The Puritan" Quincy (1602-1635/36) who came to New England in 1628. Edmund's greatX4 grandson was the American President John Quincy Adams.
We would also be pleased to help others with any information we already have.
