Commercial Appeal November 18,1984 Mrs. Anna Shannon dies at 87 Mrs. Anna Mae Strube Shannon, 87, widow of Shannon Brothers Lumber Co. co-founder James E. Shannon, died at St. Francis Hospital Friday after a long illness. Mrs. Shannon of 228 Baronne Way, was past president and a chartermember of Town and Country Garden Club and a member of St. Luke's Methodist Church. Her husband founded Shannn BrothersLumber Co. in 1921 with his brother, Tom L. Shannon. Graveside services will be at 11:30 a.m. tomorrow at Memorial Park. Swift Treadwell & Canale Funeral Directors has charge. She leaves a daughter, Mrs. Anne S. Robinson, and two sons, James E. Shannon Jr. and Jack T. Shannon, all of Memphis; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren. The family requests that memorials be sent to the charityof one's choice.
