I am currently researching the origins of the Sides family that migrated from Queen's County, Ireland , now called Laois. George Sides and his wife Ellen [nee Chambers] migrated to New Zealand with 6 of their 7 children, Elizabeth, Hellen, George, Henry, Richard and Frances. A daughter Elsie married an Ormsby Pasley and lived in Dublin. The date they emigrated to New Zealand is not known. It also appears that members of the family also resided in Rushall, Montraith and Campclone [?] and Clonenagh Parish. Any assistance or information that may assist in my search would be greatfully appreciated.
