About Our Family Research


I have created this page in memory of my Grandma, Virginia Opal Tabor Rambacher. My Grandma taught us many important things and always said she was blessed with her family. From her we learned the vaule and importance of family. She will live forever in our hearts. And it is with GREAT pride and love I call her my Grandma.

Virginia Rambacher

Aug. 9, 1916-Nov. 10, 2002

Virginia O. Rambacher, 86, of Ironton died Sunday at her home. The Portsmouth native was born Aug. 9, 1916, the daughter of the late George Robert and Virgie Ellen Kegley Tabor.

She was the wife of the late Clyde A. Rambacher.

She was a retired CPA from the C.A. Rambacher and Co., and a homemaker. She was a 1935 graduate of Ironton High School and was a 50 year member of Central Christian Church. She also was a member of the Easter Star and the Business and Professional Women's Club.

She also was preceded in death by a sister, Thelma Dimmick; and one brother, Bobby Tabor.

Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Clyde V. and Brenda Rambacher of Enon, and Gary L. and Frances Rambacher and Ed and Joyce Rambacher, all of Ironton; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Genieve Brammer of Fairborn; and one brother, Ralph Tabor of Findlay.

Funeral will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Central Christian Church, with ministers Alan Tison and Larry McAdams officiating. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Gardens in South Point. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. The body will lie in state one hour before the services at the church.

Memorials may be made to Central Christian Church Memorial Fund.
