Barry Watchman Drowned
On Saturday morning last the body of Charles Campbell Falconer (72), of 44 Clive Road, Barry Island was found floating in the dock basin. The deceased was engaged on board the Red Funnel steamer Devonia as a night watchman and it is surmised that in getting on board he must have fallen between the steamer and the quay. At the inquest at Barry Island on Tuesday Mr D. Rees coroner recorded a verdict of "Accidental Drowning".
