Allen Cemetery, Miller County, Missouri

This photo shows Allen Cemetery, where several generations of Starlings are buried. The family patriarch, Thomas Day Starling, is buried here, as well as many of his descendents. He and his wife Elizabeth (Bryan) settled in Pleasant Mount, Saline Township, Miller County, after moving from the Mooresburg area of Hawkins County, East Tennessee between 1841 and 1850. Rolling farmland surrounds this cemetery on a hill; mostly pasture and field crops.
