Starting Sept. 5, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum
message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles
will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will
no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.
This is a view of Tracy District Cemetery, looking out over the Friedrich family plot, in the flat area just beyond the headstones in the foreground. Hermann Heinrich Friedrich, immigrant from Gera, Germany, and wife Christine (Muttenthaler), immigrant from Grein, Austria, married and lived in Richmond, Brentwood, and Tracy, California. Hermann owned and operated a butcher shop in Tracy, the town where they raised their family of 5 children to adulthood. Some of their offspring are buried here; Herman, Gertrude and Mary. Son Herman worked for Southern Pacific Railroad out of Tracy. Gertrude married John Fanucchi, settling in Stockton, CA. Mary married Wayne Oakley, and they lived in Richmond, CA. Wayne is buried next to Mary. (NOTE: Hermann changed the spelling of his name to "Herman" after immigration, and that is how it appears on the stone he shares with his wife.)
