Genealogy Page for Gene P. Stark

| About Our Family Research |
|
This page is about my family - the one I was born into, and the one I've married.
Search and peer through the information, to see if any of the people in my files are shared with yours. If you catch a mistake, please let me know
I've included some photos of family, too. If you see your picture there, and you don't like it, send me another one in a jpg format. If you have photos of someone in my files, PLEASE send me a copy and I'll post it with the others. Come back often, as I'll be updating the photos and files as I receive new information.
You will also find links to other sites that have genealogical information about ancestors for my wife and myself. I hope you enjoy them.
This has been, and continues to be, a lot of fun. Special thanks to Aunt Opal, Aunt Faye, Dr. Charles Hawkins, Nadine Cable, and Gary Stark, for the information they were able to unearth about the Stark family, the information that Katie Mghie and Jack Childers have dug up on the Childers, and the info that Dr. Charles Hawkins and Jerry Vernon have shared about the Cates and Posey family. There are others, too, that have helped, and you'll find their names as sources in my GedCom files, and the links to their own files that I've put on this page. I hope that you enjoy the information as much as I do. And if you've sent me information, and I haven't put your name here, please don't get mad at me. I've found so much help from so many people while doing this, and sometimes I'm not even sure who I've corresponded with.
Check out the links. Sue Terhune has really done some neat stuff on her GedCom site, not only with her research data, but the pictures she's added. Check out Bertha's site, and if you have info that you'd like to share with Jonathan, send it along. And, if you like Bill's newsletters, you'll find his offer at the Stark GenForum. He's a nice guy, and will include you in his mailing list. The link to GenForum will start you at the Stark(s) forum, but you can jump to any forum from there, or to Ancestry.com (this is a really great site for getting family information).
All of the information, pictures, and anything else that is posted here, is FREE. I don't believe that personal family information is something you should pay someone else for, or make money from. I certainly support free enterprise, entrepreneurs, capitalism, and companies that make their money providing this kind of information, but some of this research is mine, freely offered, while other information has been freely offered to me. ANY information gained from these pages, or the other links where I have posted family information, is to be considered FREE information, and no one, no company, no organization, is to charge anyone for this information. The webhosts don't charge me, and I don't want anyone else charging someone for what I, and the people who have helped me, have made available.
Finally, if you should sign the guest book, please be aware that it does not go to me, but instead goes to the webhosts. If you want to send me a "hello", please do, but use the link to "Contact the author". Thanks, and enjoy.

- Moses and Sarah (McCleary) Stark (118 KB)
Moses was born in 1793, in KY, while Sarah may have been born in 1794, possibly in PA. They married in 1813, in IN. They lived in IN and IL, until moving to MO between 1840 and 1850. They both died, it is believed, in 1860, in Texas County, MO. If you have a better picture, I'd love for you to send me a jpg file. If you have pictures of their children, I'd really like that, too.

Great-grandma Childers (Erba Grace Barnes), Grandma Hancock (Zampa Glo Childers), mom (Leona LaVerne Hancock), and me, Gene Stark.

Taken in the late 50's on George and Zampa's farm in Oklahoma.
