Descendants of Jacob Weldon

54. ISAAC7 WILKINS (CATHARINE6 WELDON, ISAAC C.5, JACOB4, JACOB3, ISAAC2, JOHN1)135 was born 18 April 1817 in Alabama, and died Abt. 1869 in Alabama. He married JANE. She was born 1823 in Georgia136, and died Unknown.

Notes for I
SAAC WILKINS:
See the notes for Moses Weldon, Sr. regarding sale of a horse to his nephew, Isaac Wilkins.

Issac Wilkins - was the second son of William Wilkins, Sr. and Catherine Weldon Wilkins:
Note below from the book: "Genealogy: Wm. Wilkins, Sr." By Sanders Newton Wilkins.

On a bright and sunny morning, April 18, 1817, this second son came to the William Wilkins home out in the pineries of Alabama, and soon his voice raised a disturbance that stilled the wind as it sang a song through the tops of the "long-leafed pine". This disposition as reported to the writer was inherited, for report says that the sound of falling trees gave zest to his labors. He was a man of action. A Timberman by occupation, a great worker. However, his activities were cut short at 52, leaving a family of 8 of whom I have but slight data. All but Matthew G. had families of varied sizes, from one to 14.1860 census age 43

The book titled, "Who Married Whom in Wayne County, MS, lists the children of Isaac and Jane Wilkins as follows: Sam 1840, Wiley 1844, James 1845, Henry 1849, John 1851, Sarah 1854. All were born in Alabama. It says that Isaac Wilkins was born in Georgia.
