Unknown Soldier

The inscription on the reserve of this photo states "William Andrew Feild, died 24th July 1918". I cannot equate this "William Andrew Feild" as being a family member so the identity of this person remains Emily Rosannah Feild's secret. He is wearing the uniform of a Private in the Glamorgan Yeomanry which converted into the 24th (Pembroke & Glamorgan Yeomanry - formed in Egypt in 1917)Btn. the Welsh Regiment and joined the 231st Brigade, 74th Division. It is believed he died from wounds received in battle in the Military Hospital, Dover. He possibly came from Usk in Monmouthshire.
