Great Hoaten - c.1906

Great Hoaten Farm had been home to the Morgans family since the 16th century and later the home of Joseph Davies of Haroldston who was living here in 1771. Joseph Davies married Dinah Cornock of St. Ishmaels when she died she left Great Hoaten to her niece Patty Rowe (nee' Cornock). Patty's daughter, Margaret Rowe married Thomas Davies of Talbenny and they and their descendants farmed at Hoaten until the 1950s when it was eventually sold. This photo was taken prior to 1906.
